The HFEM Executive Board members are elected during Annual Grand Meeting 2021 for two years term. Our role is to ensure the main business and strategic planning for the Society are running smoothly. We are committed in engaging with members and partners that interested in ergonomics and human factors fields, to achieve the objective and mission of the society.
Words from President
We are in the 11th year as a registered society. While this is a non-profit organization, we are still able to gather committed practitioners to contribute their valuable brain and sweats voluntarily for the society. I would like to extend my gratitude and appreciation to the members and past presidents for giving me the trust to lead the society in championing the cause in Ergonomics.
As the elected President of the society, I am truly honored to be able to work with such dedicated team.
Our task is to continue with the strategic plans identified by the members to ensure relevance of the society in upholding ergonomics as an important element of our every day life. We shall continue to work on RAGI (Rakyat, Academics, Government and Industry). This acronym was created by the Immediate Past President Prof Dr Halimahtun Khalid which also signifies the characteristics of ragi (Malay term for yeast) .
We are working with a few organizations and institutions on our road show plan to increase awareness as well as governing bodies to strengthen implementation of ergonomics in private and government organizations.
Sustainability of the society is of great importance to us and here I would like to invite the existing members and our prospect members to join us by supporting the activities that we planned.
Please invite your friends to enroll as a member. We are stronger in numbers. We need more participations.
Special Interest Group (SIG)
HFEM established SIG Engineering, Ergonomic in Design for All (EinDfA), Occupational Ergonomics, and Transportation for HFEM members to participate in the specific area of ergonomics and human factors practices. SIG Chairs are appointed based on their competency and active involvement in the Society.
