

HFEM Academy successfully conducted the Ergonomic Risk Assessment (ERA) for Ergonomic Trained Person (ETP) Level 1 (Initial) programme on 4–5 May 2026 at its training facility in Seri Kembangan. The programme, which is one of the initiatives under PERKESO’s Ergonomic Improvement Solution Programme (EISP), provided participants with fundamental knowledge and practical skills in identifying ergonomic hazards, conducting ergonomic risk assessments, and recommending appropriate control measures. The session, attended by around 13 participants, was delivered by trainer Ts. Dr. Mohd Zubairy Shamsudin and was monitored by representatives from the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), reflecting the commitment of relevant stakeholders in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of ergonomics training and workplace intervention programmes.


HFEM Academy successfully conducted the online session on Writing Inclusive and Comprehensive Ergonomic Risk Assessment (ERA) Report on 7 May via Zoom Meeting, facilitated by Ts. Asyraf Che Doi. The session focused on strengthening participants’ understanding and capability in developing structured, clear, and comprehensive ERA reports that align with best practices in ergonomics documentation. Key emphasis was given to inclusive reporting approaches, ensuring that risk assessments consider diverse worker needs and workplace conditions. The interactive virtual session provided valuable insights and practical guidance to enhance the quality and consistency of ERA reporting among practitioners.
HFEM Academy was honoured to conduct the SOHELP In-House training at Dexcom Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., Penang, facilitated by Mr. Irsyad Danish Khor on 11 – 12 May 2026. The session focused on strengthening participants’ understanding of the Safety and Health Officer (SOHELP) framework, with emphasis on practical implementation in the workplace to enhance occupational safety and health performance. The training was attended by 20 Dexcom Malaysia staff members, who were exposed to key concepts, compliance requirements, and effective strategies for integrating SOHELP elements into daily operations. The interactive in-house session provided valuable insights and practical guidance to support continuous improvement in workplace safety and health practices.




HFEM Academy successfully conducted the Advanced Ergonomic Risk Assessment (AERA) for ETP programme, covering REBA, RULA, ROSA, MAC, RAPP, and ART methods, on 12 – 13 May 2026. The training venue in HFEM Academy, Seri Kembangan. The session was facilitated by Prof. Dr. Baba Md Deros and focused on enhancing participants’ advanced understanding of ergonomic risk assessment tools for identifying, analysing, and prioritising workplace ergonomic risks across various work systems. The programme was attended by 12 participants from various companies, who were exposed to practical applications of each assessment method, enabling more accurate evaluation and evidence-based recommendations for workplace improvements. The interactive training strengthened competency in applying multiple ergonomic tools to support effective ergonomics interventions and safer work environments.


HFEM Academy hosted the Human Factors and Ergonomics Awareness programme via Zoom Meeting on 18 May 2026, facilitated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dian Darina Indah Daruis. The session aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of the fundamental principles of human factors and ergonomics and their importance in improving workplace safety, health, and performance. The programme was attended by around 10 participants. The interactive online session provided valuable insights and increased awareness among participants on the significance of integrating human factors considerations into daily work practices.


An in-house training session on Ergonomic Risk Assessment (ERA) for Ergonomic Trained Person (ETP) Level 1 (Initial) was successfully conducted at Mölnlycke Health Care, Kulim, Kedah by HFEM Academy on 20 – 21 May 2026. It is facilitated by Ts. Asyraf Che Doi. The programme focused on building participants’ foundational understanding of ergonomic principles and developing practical skills in identifying workplace ergonomic hazards, conducting basic risk assessments, and proposing suitable control measures. Through interactive discussions and hands-on guidance, participants were exposed to real workplace scenarios to strengthen their competency in applying ERA tools effectively. The session was attended by around 27 staff members and supported continuous capability development in ergonomics implementation towards safer and healthier working environments.

HFEM Academy successfully conducted a one-day in-house Human Factors and Ergonomics Awareness (HFEA) training programme with Taylor’s University staff on 21 May 2026, facilitated by Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Velu Perumal KMW CiDe. The session aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of core human factors and ergonomics principles and their application in improving safety, health, and overall system performance. Key topics included the interaction between humans, tasks, equipment, and the working environment, as well as the importance of designing work systems that support human capabilities and reduce risk. The programme was attended by around 20 participants. The interactive training provided valuable insights and strengthened participants’ awareness on the role of human factors in creating safer and more efficient workplaces.
