The Human Factors and Ergonomics Malaysia Conference 2025 (HFEMC 2025), held by the Human Factors and Ergonomics Malaysia Society (HFEM) on 8–9 September 2025 at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, Kampus Kota, Kelantan, successfully gathered professionals, researchers, and practitioners under the theme “Synergizing Ergonomics and Systems Design for Sustainable Innovation.” The conference featured 4 keynote sessions, technical workshops, paper presentations, exhibitions, and networking opportunities, providing participants with 15 CEP hours of enriching engagement. With esteemed speakers from Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, China, and New Zealand, HFEMC 2025 served as a dynamic platform for sharing knowledge, fostering collaboration, and advancing the field of ergonomics and sustainable systems design.
HFEM Academy successfully conducted the HSSE Webinar 2025: Introduction to Industrial Hygiene (Noise, Chemical, Ergonomic) and Related Legal Provisions on 18 September 2025, in collaboration with Kualiti Alam. The session, attended by around 20 to 30 staff members, was facilitated by Ts. Ilyas Syafiq Bin Darul Ridzuan, who shared valuable insights into the key elements of industrial hygiene, including noise exposure, chemical management, and ergonomic practices, along with the relevant legal requirements. The webinar enhanced participants’ understanding of workplace health and safety, supporting Kualiti Alam’s commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.


The Ergonomics Risk Assessment Training for Ergonomics Trained Person (ETP) Level 1 (Initial) was successfully held on 8–9 September 2025 at Bangi Resort Hotel. The training, attended by 16 participants, was conducted by Prof. Dr. Baba Md Deros. The two-day session aimed to equip participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in identifying, assessing, and managing ergonomic risks in the workplace, marking another successful initiative in promoting ergonomics competency under the ETP programme.

The Advanced Ergonomics Risk Assessment (AERA) training was held on 23–24 September 2025 at the HFEM Academy Training Room, conducted by Prof. Dr. Baba Md Deros. The two-day program focused on advanced ergonomic assessment tools including QEC, RAPP, RSI, RNLE, and OWAS. Participants gained in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in applying these methods to identify, evaluate, and manage ergonomic risks effectively, enhancing workplace safety and promoting a culture of proactive ergonomics management.
ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Aspects, Impacts and Risk Assessment Training was successfully conducted on 25–26 September 2025 at the Onduline Training Room, Penang, with participation from Onduline Building Materials (M) Sdn. Bhd. employees. The session was facilitated by Mr. Irsyad Danish Khor Bin Abdullah, focusing on enhancing participants’ understanding of identifying, evaluating, and managing environmental aspects and impacts in line with the ISO 14001:2015 requirements.
