Electrical Safety & Appliances training
HFEM Academy recently conducted the Fundamentals of Electrical Safety & Appliances training on 6 August 2026 via Zoom, aimed at enhancing participants’ awareness and understanding of fundamental electrical safety principles in the workplace. Led by Pn Nur Afida Jamaluddin, the session covered key electrical hazards, safe practices when handling electrical appliances, and practical measures to prevent electrical-related incidents. The training provided participants with essential knowledge to promote safer work practices and strengthen awareness of electrical safety in the workplace.
Ergonomics Risk Assessment for Ergonomics Trained Person – Level 1
HFEM Academy successfully conducted the Ergonomics Risk Assessment for Ergonomics Trained Person – Level 1 (ERA Level 1) training on 11–12 August 2026 at Bangi Resort Hotel. Led by Dr Dayana Hazwani Mohd Suadi Nata, the two-day training focused on equipping participants with fundamental knowledge and practical skills in identifying, assessing, and managing ergonomic risks in the workplace. The programme provided participants with a structured understanding of ergonomics risk assessment to support safer, healthier, and more ergonomically sound work environments.
HFEA Training at ENEOS XPLORA
HFEM Academy successfully conducted an in-house Human Factors and Ergonomics Awareness (HFEA) training for ENEOS XPLORA Sarawak staff on 12 August 2026 at Pullman Miri Waterfront. Led by Assoct. Prof. Dr Ng Yee Guan, the session introduced participants to the fundamental principles of Human Factors and Ergonomics (HFE), highlighting their role in enhancing workplace safety, human performance, and work system design. The programme provided ENEOS XPLORA staff with practical awareness of how HFE principles can be applied to support safer, more efficient, and sustainable workplaces.
Chemical Safety Awareness
HFEM Academy successfully conducted the Chemical Safety Awareness & Hazard Communication training on 12 August 2026 via Zoom. Led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vivien How, the session focused on building participants’ awareness of chemical hazards, safe handling practices, and effective hazard communication in the workplace. The programme provided participants with essential knowledge to better recognise chemical risks and promote safer practices when working with hazardous substances.
COPSOQ Training at ROHM Electronics
On 19 August 2026, HFEM Academy conducted an in-house COPSOQ (Copenhagen Psychosocial Questionnaire) Training for staff of ROHM Electronics (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. in Kelantan. The training was facilitated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ng Yee Guan, providing participants with practical knowledge and understanding of COPSOQ in assessing psychosocial factors in the workplace. The session supported participants in enhancing their awareness and application of psychosocial risk assessment approaches to promote a healthier and more supportive work environment.
