Our team has human factors engineering (HFE) experts in the country. We welcome students, academics, and industries practitioners to join us.
Vision
The Engineering Special Interest Group (SIG) intends to provide a general platform for any activities in the area of human factors engineering and ergonomics.
The SIG membership is open to practitioners, academics, regulatory bodies, agencies, students, and other HFEM members that share the same interest and would like to be actively involved in SIG activities.
Coverages of interest area include (but not limited to):
- Front-end engineering design,
- Development of relevant HFE specifications & standards,
- Human performance and reliability assessments,
- Engineering interventions and controls, and
- other engineering-related activities.
Objective
- Promote awareness related to engineering principles and applications in human factors engineering / ergonomics initiatives
- Arrange networking events and forge links with relevant stakeholders (e.g professional bodies, government agencies, universities etc.)
- Encourage relevant research activities that can contribute toward better engineering specifications, standards and guidelines related to human factors engineering / ergonomics
- Provide technical assistance, support, and expertise to professionals and practitioners in the area of human factors engineering / ergonomics
